ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) Becomes First K-Pop Artist to Team Up with Metaverse Platform RecRoom!
ZEROBASEONE (Sung Han bin, Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook, Han Yu-jin) has officially partnered with RecRoom, making them the first K-pop artist to collaborate with the global metaverse service.
RecRoom, which has over 100 million lifetime users, is one of the largest social gaming and metaverse platforms where Gen Z is highly active. The platform lets users play games, explore countless player-created rooms, and even create their own content (all free on PC, mobile, consoles, and VR headsets).
Through this deal, ZEROBASEONE will drop digital items that reflect the group’s identity and roll out UGC-based content like avatar wearables. In-metaverse pop-up stores and in-game events are also planned, aiming to expand new ways of fan engagement and global communication.

Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE’s first full-length album, “NEVER SAY NEVER,” sold more than 1.1 million copies on release day, securing their record as the first K-pop group to achieve six consecutive million-seller albums. The album also ranked No. 1 on the iTunes Top Album chart in countries including Qatar, Russia, and the Czech Republic—plus it topped Japan’s Line Music ‘Album TOP 100.’
The title track “ICONIK” reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Song charts in Bahrain, Vietnam, Chile, Indonesia, and Argentina. The music video, which dropped on the 1st, is already nearing 39 million views.
The group is set to continue comeback promotions across multiple Korean music shows. Industry watchers are pointing to this RecRoom partnership as proof of ZEROBASEONE’s global popularity and their push to blend fan culture with interactive digital experiences.
