The new BL drama “To My Shore” premiered on (Nov 15th) on gagaoolala and Viki, with fresh episodes released every Saturday — already labeled by viewers as the year’s most high-tension angsty drama.
Adapted from the well-known novel Si Mian Fu by writer Su Er Liang, the series sets its narrative inside the world of a Thai conglomerate. The production focuses tightly on themes of desire, control, and spiritual redemption, presenting what the team calls a “century-long entanglement.”
The story revolves around the clash between an “extremely controlling Top” and a “lucid, level-headed Bottom.”
Breaking the common format seen in typical Boys’ Love dramas, it mixes the ruthless conglomerate system in Thailand with strategic corporate conflict among Chinese business elites.
Lead Characters
Yun Qi appears as Fan Xiao, the third son of a Thai tycoon. He’s domineering, gloomy, and holds an extreme urge to control — seeing love simply as a “game” and a “hunt.”
Opposite him, Hao Yi Ran plays You Shu Lang, a high-ranking executive from a Chinese pharmaceutical company. Calm, rational, and restrained on the surface, he’s also warm-hearted and isn’t afraid to love or hate with depth — making him the drama’s “lucid” partner.

Plot Setup
Their turbulent relationship begins after a rear-end collision. Fan Xiao, carrying unresolved childhood trauma, wrongly reads You Shu Lang’s sincerity as “hypocrisy.” That misunderstanding fuels his twisted desire to humiliate and control him.
When both characters collide — emotionally and morally — a power struggle unfolds, pushing a war between desire and ethics. Eventually, Fan Xiao pays a heavy price. A forced separation follows, leading him into a silent-guardian stage and a long, punishing redemption arc to reclaim his lover.
The blend of thriller-like corporate warfare and emotional tension elevates the drama’s tone far above standard BL storytelling. The Bangkok business-world setting plays a critical role, intensifying every conflict and strategy moment.
