Stray Kids have made history on the Billboard 200, becoming the first act in the chart’s 70-year history to debut seven consecutive albums at No. 1.
Billboard confirmed on August 31 (local time) that the group’s fourth full-length album, “KARMA,” sold around 313,000 units in its first week, topping the Billboard 200 chart dated September 6. This breaks the group’s own first-week sales record set by “★★★★★ (5-STAR)” with 249,500 units.
With this result, Stray Kids extended their streak of No. 1 debuts that began with “ODDINARY” (2022) and continued through “MAXIDENT,” “★★★★★ (5-STAR),” “ROCK-STAR,” “ATE,” “HOP,” and now “KARMA.”
The milestone also secures Stray Kids as the first K-pop act to achieve seven consecutive Billboard 200 No. 1 debuts. Their latest album is now the best-selling K-pop album in the U.S. in 2025 and ranks third overall for first-week U.S. sales this year, behind only Morgan Wallen and The Weeknd.
Outside the U.S., Stray Kids also posted strong numbers. On the UK Official Albums Chart Top 100, “KARMA” entered at No. 22, while its title track “CEREMONY” debuted on the UK Singles Chart at No. 37. In France and Germany, the album opened at No. 1 on the SNEP chart and the Official Albums Chart. It also landed top spots in the Netherlands, Sweden, Australia, and New Zealand.

Meanwhile, the group has been nominated for “Best Group” at the MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA), further solidifying their global recognition.
