On the latest episode of Salty Brother on the 12th, Seol In-ah, Jung Kyung-ho, and Cha Hak-yeon sat down with Shin Dong-yup for a chat that quickly turned into a candid convo about dating.
At one point, Jung Kyung-ho asked Seol In-ah, “Aren’t you dating?” She shot back, “Didn’t I say it might be difficult? Do you remember? Is that still valid?” Jung Kyung-ho didn’t miss a beat and replied, “You seem like someone who wouldn’t be dating.”
Seol In-ah opened up about a past breakup, saying, “I told Jung Kyung-ho and Cha Hak-yeon about this. I was once dumped because my boyfriend said he ‘couldn’t handle me’ because I was ‘too free-spirited.’ I just vaguely wanted to look at the sea and read a book. So, on the same day, I took a book and went to Busan by KTX train. When my boyfriend asked where I was and I said Busan, he was taken aback.”
Cha Hak-yeon chimed in with his take, saying, “Seol In-ah really enjoys her alone time. So, it seems that her personal time is more important than time spent together. That was one of the five things.”
Then things got a little more playful. When Jung Kyung-ho said, “Someone who can handle Seol In-ah is a bit…”, she cut in, “Why? Am I difficult?” That led Shin Dong-yup to ask, “Is Seol In-ah the ‘iron wall’ type?” But Jung Kyung-ho quickly clarified, “She’s easygoing,” which didn’t exactly sit well with Seol In-ah.
Shin Dong-yup actually took Seol In-ah’s side on the whole Busan thing, saying, “I understand. Apart from the physical distance of Busan, if you suddenly feel like ‘I want to do this there,’ you might just do it. But if a boyfriend says he ‘can’t handle’ that… this could be a blessing. It’s better to quickly filter out men who can’t understand that.”
