Choi Woo-shik, Jung So-min, Seo Bum-june in SBS Drama ‘Would You Marry Me?’: Love Triangle Sparks Interest!
SBS has confirmed that its upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Would You Marry Me?” (also known as Marry Me in the Universe) will hit screens on October 10 at 9:50 PM (KST). Directed by Song Hyun-wook and Hwang In-hyeok and written by Lee Ha-na, the series is produced by Studio S and Samhwa Networks.
The drama follows a 90-day fake marriage contract between Choi Woo-shik (Kim Woo-joo) and Jung So-min (Yoo Me-ri), who enter the deal in hopes of winning a top-tier newlywed home as a prize. Market watchers say the romantic comedy format, mixed with competitive elements, is expected to grab attention from domestic viewers as well as global K-drama fans searching for new titles this fall.

Interestingly, Yoo Me-ri’s life becomes more complicated with two men named Kim Woo-joo—her fake husband and her former fiancé. The heir of South Korea’s oldest bakery brand Myeongsoodang, played by Choi Woo-shik, transforms into Mary’s “fake husband.” He’s a year older, gives off a dependable “Daddy-Long-Legs” kind of aura, and is portrayed as a reserved but warm figure.
On the other side is Seo Bum-june, playing Mary’s ex-fiancé, who shares the same name. After five years of dating, he betrayed her by cheating with a colleague named Jenny, causing their engagement to collapse. Now, as a regretful younger man three years her junior, he re-enters Mary’s world—sparking questions about whether he’ll win her back.
The drama highlights the contrast between the two Woo-joos. The “bread spoon” heir Woo-joo appears flawless, skilled, and emotionally reliable. Meanwhile, the ex-fiancé Woo-joo comes across as reckless, impulsive, and constantly creating chaos in Mary’s daily life. This setup has already fueled speculation about which man Yoo Me-ri will ultimately choose.
