Fans of director Kim Seok-Yoon and the heartwarming drama “The Light in Your Eyes” are buzzing with excitement over the news of a potential reunion. Kim Seok-Yoon’s new drama, “More Beautiful Than Heaven” (working title), is reportedly in talks with actors Son Suk-Ku, Lee Jung-eun, and Han Ji-min to star.
According to a representative of Son Suk Ku’s agency on the 14th, “Son Suk Ku has been offered a role in ‘More Beautiful Than Heaven‘ and is positively reviewing it.”
Son Suk Ku previously worked with director Kim Seok Yoon on the 2022 JTBC drama “My Liberation Notes”. Kim Seok Yoon is known for directing dramas such as “The Light in Your Eyes”, “Law School”, “My Liberation Notes”, and “Behind Your Touch”.
Son Suk Ku made his debut in the 2017 drama “Sense8 Season 2” and most recently appeared in the film “Troll Factory”.
Lee Jung-eun is also set to reunite with director Kim Seok Yoon.
Lee Jung-eun previously worked with Kim Seok Yoon on the 2019 JTBC drama “The Light in Your Eyes” and even made a special appearance in his 2023 drama “Behind Your Touch”. In “The Light in Your Eyes”, she played Moon Jeong-eun, the mother of Han Ji-min’s character and the daughter-in-law of Kim Hye-ja. Lee Jung-eun’s performance was both humorous and touching. In “Behind Your Touch”, she transformed into a reggae-haired drug lord imprisoned in a prison, drawing attention with her strong visuals and presence.
Expectations are high for the synergy between Lee Jung-eun and Kim Seok Yoon, who are reuniting after their successful collaboration on “The Light in Your Eyes”. Han Ji-min is also in positive discussions to star in the drama, raising anticipation for a reunion of the “trustworthy trio”.
Lee Jung-eun has been on a roll since her debut in the 1991 play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, with hit dramas such as “Mr. Sunshine” (2018) and films like “Parasite” (2019). She has also received much love for her wide range of roles and outstanding acting skills in dramas such as “Strangers from Hell” (2019), “When the Camellia Blooms” (2019), “Once Again” (2020), “Juvenile Justice” (2022), “Our Blues” (2022), “Daily Dose of Sunshine” (2023), and “A Bloody Lucky Day” (2023).
