The drama tells the story of Im Sol, an ardent fan who lost her will to live after her favorite artist Ryu Seon Jae died, and Ryu Seon Jae, a famous artist who saved her life when she was about to give up on life. It is a time-slip salvation romance in which Im Sol travels back in time to 2008 to save her beloved.
The drama is based on the popular web novel “The Best of Tomorrow” by author Kim Bbang and is currently being serialized as a webtoon.
Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon Star in “Lovely Runner”
In “Lovely Runner,” Byeon Woo Seok plays Ryu Seon Jae, the perfect top star of South Korea and Im Sol’s beloved who she must save, while Kim Hye Yoon plays Im Sol, a 19-year-old fan who has traveled back in time to change Ryu Seon Jae’s fate.
Synchronicity Poster Captures the Essence of the Drama
Ahead of the premiere, the production team has released a synchronicity poster for K-drama “Lovely Runner” that is drawing attention. The poster was drawn by Dongdong, the author of the webtoon “The Best of Tomorrow,” to commemorate the premiere of “Lovely Runner.”
The poster features Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon’s youthful visuals and similar drawing style, which are reminiscent of the gumdrop main poster released earlier. The poster perfectly captures the 200% synchronization of the “webtoon-tearer” epithet, and expectations are high for the cheerful and sweet youth romance and the touching and thrilling fateful narrative that Ryu Seon Jae and Im Sol will create in the drama.
