South Korean singer Park Boram has tragically passed away at the age of 30.

According to statements from her agency (Xenadu Entertainment) and the police, Park Boram was found unconscious in a bathroom at a friend’s house on the night of April 11. She was taken to the hospital but was pronounced dead at around 11:00 PM.

Park Boram had been drinking with friends earlier that evening. Police are investigating the cause of her death, but there are no signs of foul play or suicide. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause.

Park Boram rose to fame in 2010 after appearing on the Mnet audition program “Superstar K2.” She made her official debut in 2014 with the song “Beautiful,” which reached number 19 on Melon’s annual chart. She went on to release several more successful singles, including “Pretty Bae,” “CELEPRETTY,” “Why, You?,” and “Will Be Fine.”

In February of this year, Park Boram released a duet with “Superstar K2” winner Huh Gak called “I Wish (Song by Seventeen).” Her agency said at the time that she was working on a full-length album to celebrate her 10th anniversary in the industry. Tragically, fans will not get to see her perform her new music. Park Boram also released the single “I Miss You Already” on April 3rd.
