Koyote’s Shinji Introduces Fiancé Moon Won, Who Admits to Past Marriage and Child.
On July 2nd, a video titled “Who’s Taking Our Shinji?!?” was uploaded to Shinji’s YouTube channel, “어떠신지?!?” (Eotteoshinji?!?), where she officially introduced her fiancé, Moon Won, to fellow Koyote members Kim Jong-min and Bbaek Ga over a meal at a Chinese restaurant.
Moon Won made a surprising confession during the meeting. “I think this is something I should say myself. You might be surprised,” he began, adding, “Actually, I was married once before. And I have a lovely daughter.”
Both Kim Jong-min and Bbaek Ga appeared visibly shocked. Bbaek Ga even stepped away from the table briefly. Moon Won explained that Shinji knew from the start. “When our relationship was getting serious, I told her honestly,” he said. “Shinji told me, ‘Because I like you, because I love you, I can accept it,’ which gave me a lot of strength.”
Shinji said, “How much must he have struggled keeping that to himself?” and “It must have been difficult. If the two of you had found out through a third party instead of us, you would have been upset.” She also shared her perspective on his past, saying, “I actually admired his sense of responsibility. I liked that he wasn’t neglecting his child but was trying to protect them.”
Bbaek Ga showed support, saying, “If the two of you are happy and love each other, I don’t think it’s something to worry about. In fact, I think your relationship is even more meaningful.” Kim Jong-min added, “I hope you’re happy every single day. That’s all we wish for.”
Shinji opened the conversation earlier in the meal by saying, “Today, there’s something serious I want to tell you members. It’s something you absolutely need to know.”
Meanwhile, Shinji and Moon Won are currently preparing for their wedding. The couple recently released their duet, “Salaga Doola,” a love song that captures the lighthearted feelings of being in love.
