On October 10, Channel A aired episode 180 of Men’s Life These Days: Groom’s Class, where Jang Woo Hyuk and Oh Chae Yi shared their latest outing. The broadcast revealed their school-uniform date at an amusement park, a classic spot for couples. Oh Chae Yi even admitted, “it had been [her] dream to visit an amusement park with a boyfriend.”
The date started earlier with Jang Woo Hyuk preparing a special lunch box—he packed tofu inarizushi, enoki mushroom bacon rolls, and heart-shaped pea fried rice. Oh Chae Yi was touched, saying it was “probably the first time [she had] ever received a lunch box.” Jang Woo Hyuk laughed it off, noting the peas were undercooked, but she reassured him, “I like it.”

Later, at the haunted house, he held her hand, showing a more reliable side. The couple then moved to a location significant in his career: the stage where he first competed in the National Youth Group Dance Competition. Recalling that he received a business card there which led to his H.O.T. debut, Jang Woo Hyuk told her, “This place is why I could debut as H.O.T. It’s a very meaningful place, so I wanted to come here with a special person.”
Oh Chae Yi responded warmly, “Thank you for bringing me here. It feels like I’m sharing your life,” acknowledging how personal the moment was. He also mentioned this was the first time he was publicly dating at such a meaningful venue.
The couple ended their date at the carousel, another nostalgic landmark because it appeared in the Candy music video by H.O.T. They took photos together, held hands, and Jang Woo Hyuk even hugged her, showing a more masculine side as they wrapped up the sweet outing.
During the show, a phone call earlier in the day revealed that Jang Woo Hyuk had confirmed to a hometown friend that he was seriously dating Oh Chae Yi. That moment, paired with his repeated compliments calling her “beautiful,” added excitement for viewers following the broadcast.
