Baek Hyun, member of EXO and solo artist, has officially become the first Korean celebrity to reach Diamond Level 1 in the “Super Topic” community on Weibo, China’s biggest social media platform.
The “Super Topic” (a major fandom indicator in China) updates rankings every Monday. It’s split into nine levels—across Silver, Gold, and Diamond stages. As of the 1st of the month, Baek Hyun is the only Korean artist listed in Diamond Level 1 in the individual Super Topic category.
This milestone comes right after his “Reverie” world tour concerts in Macau (held on the 30th and 31st of last month). A day before the shows, his Weibo live broadcast pulled in nearly 2.19 million viewers. On the concert dates themselves, multiple related keywords topped trending search lists. His cover of a local track and participation in a dance challenge quickly went viral, moving across different Chinese social platforms.
Interestingly, during that same weekend, Baek Hyun also swept the top three spots on Douyin’s culture and entertainment popularity chart (Douyin is the Chinese version of TikTok). It clearly underlined his explosive popularity in the region.
The Super Topic system is more than just a fan forum—it reflects both fandom size and activity. Hitting Diamond Level 1 is considered rare, and in this case, it’s widely seen as recognition of Baek Hyun’s global reach and influence.
Meanwhile, through his first solo world tour “Reverie” (marking 13 years since debut), Baek Hyun is setting new benchmarks. He’s already met fans across South America, the United States, Europe, Oceania, and Asia. The Asian leg of the tour continues, and buzz on Chinese social media shows that local fan anticipation is still growing.
For now, his team confirmed that Baek Hyun will continue the “Reverie” tour in various regions, keeping momentum strong.
