Tickets for the group viewing event for the final episode of the tvN drama “Lovely Runner” went on sale at 6:00 pm on May 22nd through the CGV homepage and app. The event, aimed at fans of the popular drama, is scheduled to be held at 4 theaters in CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall starting at 7:50 pm on May 28th. Ticket prices were set at a fan-friendly 1,000 won.
CGV’s Server Crashed as Fans Rush for Tickets
However, during ticketing on the day before the event, which started around 5:40 pm, a surge of fans flooded the CGV website, making it difficult to access. The server eventually became overloaded, and messages like “Service connection is temporarily delayed” and “Please understand that the service connection is delayed due to the large number of simultaneous connections” started to appear.
Persistence Pays Off for Some Fans
Despite the website issues, all four theaters for the single-screen event sold out in an instant. There are reports that a lucky few fans managed to snag tickets through kiosk reservations at the Yongsan site even when the online system was down, causing envy among others.
Star-Studded Event for Devoted Fans
The main cast of “Lovely Runner,” including actors Byeon Woo Seok, Kim Hye Yoon, Song Geon Hee, and Lee Seung Hyub, will be present at the event. They will greet the audience and watch the final episode with the fans. The stage greetings will be held sequentially from 7:50 pm in each theater. Fans can also expect “Lovely Runner” related content before the broadcast starts, which begins at 8:50 pm.
“Lovely Runner” has two thrilling episodes left, with the final broadcasts scheduled for the 27th and 28th of May.
