Jung Chae-yeon, 27, currently starring in JTBC’s weekend drama Beyond the Bar, shared a glimpse of her healthy lifestyle while vacationing abroad. On the 27th, the actress uploaded photos from her trip to Bali on Instagram, including a shot of an acai bowl she enjoyed during her stay.
The acai bowl was prepared with an acai puree blend of acai berries, bananas, and strawberries, topped with fresh fruits, nuts, honey, and granola. Acai berries are particularly valued for their anti-aging benefits. According to a study from Texas A&M University, they contain powerful antioxidants like polyphenols and anthocyanins. Bananas also add soluble and insoluble fiber, along with vitamins C and E, while strawberries are rich in vitamin C, known to help with fatigue relief and skin brightening.

Since her debut in 2015, Jung Chae-yeon has maintained her appearance and figure, drawing continued public admiration. Many fans have shown interest in her eating habits, especially how options like the acai bowl contribute to her balanced diet.
But nutrition experts warn that commercially sold acai bowls shouldn’t be consumed too often. Toppings like honey and granola, while popular, increase the sugar and calorie count. Honey is mainly composed of fructose and glucose, simple sugars that can lead to weight gain and raise risks of conditions such as dyslipidemia when consumed in excess. Granola, though rich in dietary fiber and protein, is also calorie-dense—about 120 to 200 kcal per 30 grams—making portion control important.
For a healthier version, preparing an acai bowl at home is recommended. Instead of granola, toppings such as almonds, avocados, and chia seeds provide better nutrition. Almonds can help curb appetite, avocados supply healthy fats and fiber for satiety, and chia seeds slow down sugar absorption, helping with blood sugar management.
