‘No Tail to Tell’ has revealed a new couple poster featuring Kim Hye-yoon and Lomon, offering an early glimpse into the drama’s shifting emotional tone ahead of its 2026 premiere.
On the 29th, the production team behind SBS’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama ‘No Tail to Tell’ (Screenplay by Park Chan-young & Cho A-yeong, Directed by Kim Jung-kwon, Planned by Studio S, Produced by Binge Works & Mog Film) unveiled a poster centered on close-range eye contact between Eun-ho (played by Kim Hye-yoon) and Kang Si-yeol (played by Lomon). The visual signals a softer dynamic than previously expected.
The series is described as a chaotic “salvation” fantasy romance, focusing on an MZ Gumiho (nine-tailed fox) who refuses to become human and a narcissistic human star. The story blends reality and imagination, introducing a never-before-seen Gumiho worldview, while leaning into wit and fast-paced emotional shifts.
Poster Details Highlight Emotional and Visual Change
Attention has also turned to the poster’s symbolism. Eun-ho is shown resting in Kang Si-yeol’s arms—an unfamiliar image for a pairing once assumed to clash. A pure white fox tail wraps around them, clearly revealing her identity as a Gumiho. Her expression, soft and wistful, contrasts with her usual sharp “MZ Gumiho” demeanor. It hints at how her 900-year life—carefully lived to avoid humanity—begins to change after meeting him.

Their relationship has already drawn interest due to its mysterious connection. Earlier expectations of a contentious dynamic now appear to be shifting toward destiny-driven romance, or at least something close to it.
The casting combination has fueled anticipation among viewers. Kim Hye-yoon, often labeled the “Actress You Can Trust,” returns to television approximately 1 year and 8 months after ‘Lovely Runner.’ Meanwhile, Lomon, recognized as a rising global star, continues his momentum following ‘All of Us Are Dead.’
Character Profiles: Gumiho Meets Global Soccer Star
Character details add further context. Eun-ho is a Gumiho who avoids small acts of kindness to prevent becoming human, while also steering clear of major evil deeds to protect her accumulated powers. An unexpected incident, however, disrupts that balance. Kang Si-yeol, on the other hand, is a world-class soccer striker—arrogant but disciplined—whose seemingly perfect life is suddenly “tackled” by Eun-ho’s appearance.
With its fresh pairing and genre blend, ‘No Tail to Tell’ is positioning itself as a notable fantasy romance in the early 2026 drama lineup.
The new SBS Friday–Saturday drama ‘No Tail to Tell’ premieres Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:50 PM KST.
