Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-jun share an emotional reunion scene in JTBC’s drama “A Hundred Memories,” depicting changing relationships and lingering feelings after seven years apart.

The subtle dynamics between Kim Da-mi, Shin Ye-eun, and Heo Nam-jun have shifted dramatically in JTBC’s weekend drama “A Hundred Memories”, following their reunion after seven years apart. Viewers are now focused on how these three characters—caught between friendship and love—will navigate the tangled emotions that resurface after time and distance.

The latest episode, which aired over the weekend, depicted the trio’s long-awaited reunion and emotional confusion. The youth melodrama—set against the nostalgic backdrop of Seoul in 1989—has just four episodes left, and fans are curious how this “Newtro” story of timing, fate, and unspoken love will unfold.

Set in the 1980s, Go Yeong-rye (played by Kim Da-mi), a bus conductor, experienced what she believed was destiny when she met Han Jae-pil (Heo Nam-jun). After he saved her from a dangerous moment, a string of coincidences deepened her attachment. However, Jae-pil’s heart was elsewhere—fixed on Yeong-rye’s close friend, Seo Jong-hee (Shin Ye-eun). The two shared mutual feelings and briefly enjoyed happiness before it abruptly ended.

Jong-hee, realizing Yeong-rye’s affection for Jae-pil, chose to sacrifice her own love for her friend’s sake. Yet, even with years between them, her feelings never truly disappeared. Fast forward seven years, the three cross paths again—this time in different circumstances and with changed hearts.

During the years apart, Jae-pil faced hardships as his family’s fortunes declined and his father’s illness worsened. By his side through it all was Yeong-rye, quietly supporting him as he studied for medical school. Their relationship, though unspoken, deepened beyond friendship. Just as Yeong-rye found the courage to confess, Jong-hee returned from abroad, bringing unresolved emotions back into play.

Jong-hee’s return (as the only daughter of a wealthy family) reignited complicated feelings. Seeing Yeong-rye and Jae-pil’s closeness unsettled her. Despite her affection for Yeong-rye, the shifting bond between the two friends and Jae-pil caused emotional conflict.

Meanwhile, a new variable entered—Jung Hyun (Kim Jung-hyun), Yeong-rye’s long-time admirer and “Daddy-Long-Legs,” returned after studying overseas. His open affection for Yeong-rye triggered Jae-pil’s realization of his own buried feelings. This emotional awakening now threatens to redefine all relationships.

A Hundred Memories Episode 8

The production team commented, “A new tension has been established in the relationship between the four people starting from episode 8. Please continue to watch until the end to see what kind of emotional waves the changes wrought by seven years and the sincerity that still remains will create, and in what direction the characters’ relationships will flow.”

Ultimately, “A Hundred Memories” captures how time changes everything—yet not enough to erase lingering emotions. With Yeong-rye and Jae-pil’s growing closeness and Jong-hee’s reappearance, viewers are left asking the same question: Who will become whose destiny?

The drama airs every Saturday at 10:40 PM and Sunday at 10:30 PM (KST) on JTBC, drawing steady attention among fans searching for K-drama romance, 1980s nostalgia, and emotional reunion stories.
