Sept. 25 — Actress Cha Ji-an has officially signed an exclusive contract with CL& Company, the agency confirmed on Wednesday. The management label, which also represents well-known actors like Ko Kyung-pyo, Kim Mi-kyung, Na Hyun-young, Ryu Deok-hwan, Park Se-young, Seo Young-joo, Son Yeo-eun, Ahn Ji-ho, Yang Jeong-ah, Yoon Son-ha, Lee Soo-mi, Tang Jun-sang, and Hong Geum-bi., said it will “provide full support” for the rising star’s career.

CL& Company stated, “We have signed an exclusive contract with actress Cha Ji-an, who possesses infinite potential and sincerity. We’ll help her showcase her unique color in various projects going forward.”
The actress, who studied acting at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, has already built experience across dramas, films, and commercials. Industry watchers describe her as a new-generation talent with both stable acting skills and fresh appeal.
Alongside the contract news, Cha Ji-an was confirmed for the film Made in Itaewon. She plays Woo-Ri, a model student on the outside but a bold and self-reliant youth inside. Her role is said to be pivotal in moving the storyline forward.
Set during the 1998 IMF crisis in Korea, Made in Itaewon is described as a growth noir capturing the struggles and clashes of young people in Itaewon, a neighborhood where diversity was far from celebrated at the time. The project is already drawing attention for its gritty take on youth drama and urban history.
Cha Ji-an’s casting is expected to show audiences a new side of her acting, combining freshness with determination. The agency highlighted her potential to grow into a leading figure in Korean cinema.
