I-DLE’s YUQI has once again proved her solo power. Her first single album Motivation sold 414,547 copies in its debut week (according to Hanteo Chart) and immediately claimed the No.1 spot on the September week 3 album chart.
The release dropped on September 16 and includes three self-composed tracks: the title song M.O., Hurts, and the Chinese version of It Hurts (还痛吗 — hái tòng ma). All were written and composed by YUQI, showing her ability to handle different sounds from hip-hop to rock.

It didn’t stop at physical sales. In China, Motivation topped daily digital album charts on QQ Music and Kugou Music. The lead track M.O. also jumped to No.1 on the Bugs real-time chart in Korea—clear evidence her music is resonating across markets.
Her debut mini-album YUQ1 (2023) was already a half-million seller with 569,049 copies. So, with another strong start, fans and industry alike see her solo career building steady momentum.
Meanwhile, she’s meeting fans in person—pop-up events are being held across seven Asian cities to celebrate the single’s release. It’s a busy schedule, but it cements her status as not just a group member but a solo artist with wide global reach.
