On August 22, entertainment agency Big Ocean ENM revealed concept photos and the title of iii’s upcoming single, ‘RE:AL iii’, through the group’s official social media channels. The announcement immediately sparked strong reactions from K-pop fans worldwide.
The six-member multinational girl group consists of four Korean members, one Japanese member, and one Thai member. Among them are Huran and Soobin, who first appeared on the SBS audition program ‘Universe Ticket.’ Global fans have been anticipating the group’s debut since their pre-debut release nearly two years ago.
In 2023, iii released their pre-debut track, ‘Forbidden Midnight,’ which reinterpreted the classic melody ‘In the Hall of the Mountain King’ with a K-pop twist. That single drew early attention to the group’s unique identity as “idols who came from AI to reality.” Since then, the members have consistently engaged with fans by posting profile photos and song cover videos.
The newly released photos for ‘RE:AL iii’ show the members gazing forward with expressionless faces, set against a black-and-white concept that highlights a mature and polished image. The visuals received an immediate response from fans online.
