BTS Is Back! All Seven Members Reuniting After Military Service.
After over two years of military service, BTS’s hiatus is finally wrapping up this month. It all started back in winter 2022 when the eldest member, Jin, enlisted.
Tomorrow, June 10th, RM—who’s been serving with the 15th Infantry Division’s military band—and V—who was with the 2nd Corps Military Police Special Duty Team—are both getting discharged. Then on June 11th, Jimin and Jungkook, who enlisted together in the 5th Infantry Division, will also finish their service.
That means four more members are coming back this week, following Jin and J-Hope who already completed their service last year. And with Suga wrapping up his alternative service on June 21st, the whole group’s finally gonna be back together.
Big Hit Music did ask fans not to crowd the discharge spots, just to keep things safe. But fans won’t have to wait too long to feel the excitement—’BTS Festa’ is happening on June 13th to mark their 12th debut anniversary. It’s gonna be the first time the group and ARMY reunite after this long military break.
Music critic Kim Do-heon had this to say: “Individually, they have continuously pursued their careers by releasing solo albums. Now, there’s much anticipation for what BTS will look like when they work both separately and together.”
The agency also mentioned they’re teaming up with top-tier composers to prep for BTS’s full-group activities. So yeah, big things are coming.
