Jamsu Bridge Becomes a K Pop Stage as SEVENTEEN Celebrates a Decade of Hits
SHARE

SEVENTEEN just pulled off a seriously epic 10th-anniversary concert at Jamsu Bridge, and the crowd? Totally massive. Some fans even hit the Han River on yachts just to catch a glimpse of the show. Yup, it was that big.

The whole thing was part of their “B-Day Party” event, which ran for three days starting May 23rd and wrapping up on the 25th. It all went down around Sebitseom in Banpo-dong, and it wasn’t just for die-hard fans—locals, tourists, and the general public all got to join the party.

The event had two main parts: the “B-Day Party” pop-up space with fun SEVENTEEN-themed stuff and then the “Burst Stage” concert. The pop-up ended at 5 PM, and the live show kicked off at 7:30 PM. Well, sort of—because of all the last-minute chaos and traffic around the venue, they started about 25 minutes late. But the energy? Through the roof.

Fans couldn’t contain their hype—this was the only chance to see the members in person during the whole thing. And even if you didn’t score one of the 6,000 seats right in front of the stage, you could still enjoy the show from special zones like the Yebit Zone, Standing Zone, or Picnic Zone in Banpo Hangang Park.

A large-scale “Carat Bong” floating sculpture has been installed in front of Sebitseom, located in Banpo Hangang Park, Seoul.

What’s wild is that this is the first-ever concert held at Jamsu Bridge. Aside from a fancy Louis Vuitton fashion show in April 2023, no major events have been held there. SEVENTEEN making it happen? Pretty iconic.

To pull this off, HYBE teamed up with the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Future Han River Headquarters and Seocho-gu. They shut down Jamsu Bridge from 7 AM on the 25th ’til 4 AM the next day. Instead of cars, thousands of plastic chairs covered the bridge—it legit looked like a full-on concert hall.

The pop-up part wasn’t just for show either. It included the “SEVENTEEN History Zone” that walked fans through their journey, a message wall where fans could write out congrats, a merch area for their 5th album and anniversary light sticks, and even a photocard exchange if you finished the stamp tour.

SEVENTEEN debuted back in May 2015, and this year marks 10 years since they hit the scene. Both Pledis and HYBE see them as one of their top groups, and it’s clear they’ve got fans all over the world.

To celebrate even more, bridges like Wonhyo, World Cup, and Haengju are lit up in Rose Quartz and Serenity (the group’s symbolic colors) until July 1st. HYBE’s building also shows off the slogan “SEVENTEEN WILL CHALLENGE ETERNITY,” and nearby parks turned into photo zones. You’ll even spot huge 10th-anniversary ads across major Korean cities—and in places like the U.S., Japan, and China too.

And of course, the big finale: SEVENTEEN drops their 5th full album Happy Burstday on May 26th at 6 PM. This one’s packed with 16 tracks, including the title song “THUNDER.” For the first time ever, each of the 13 members has their own solo track, and the album teases all kinds of new vibes—including a collab with global superstar Pharrell Williams.
