‘Resident Playbook Wraps with Big Decisions Proposals a Hint at Season 2

The tvN weekend drama Resident Playbook wrapped up its 12-episode run on the 18th, with episode 12 bringing the residents’ first year to a meaningful close. Oh Yi-young (Go Youn-jung) made her final decision to stay at Jongno Yulje Medical Center.

The finale focused on the last stretch of Oh Yi-young and her fellow residents’ first year, showing how much they’ve grown — not just as doctors, but as people too. Ku Do-won (Jung Joon-won) was named a fellow in obstetrics and gynecology and gave Oh Yi-young a couple ring, marking a sweet milestone in their relationship.

Meanwhile, Um Jae Il (Kang You-seok) confessed to Kim Sa-bi (Han Ye-ji), and in classic Sa-bi fashion, she replied with a rule: “They have to see all four seasons together before officially dating.” Gotta love her unique charm.

Tak Gi-on (Cha Kang-yoon), who’s also staying in OB-GYN, proposed to Pyo Nam-kyung (Shin Shi-ah), holding her hand tightly. Earlier, he had been the quiet support she needed during her breakup, and their relationship has steadily grown since.

There was also a little bit of karma in the air — Myung Eun-won (Kim Hye-in) didn’t get the professor position she wanted, while Chu Min-ha (Ahn Eun-jin) was newly appointed instead. Plus, her husband, Yang Seok-hyung (Kim Dae-myung), showed up too, teasing fans with the possibility of a second season.

The drama, created by Eggiscoming and led by writer Kim Song-hee and director Lee Min-soo, aired on tvN and is now streaming on Netflix and TVING.
