On May 10th, comedian Im La-ra shared some big news through her social media. With several happy photos, she wrote, “We’ve been blessed with a baby!”
In the pics, Im La-ra and her husband Son Min-soo are all smiles, holding up a pregnancy test, baby clothes, and a bouquet of flowers. The excitement’s pretty clear on their faces.
Born in 1989, the couple tied the knot in 2023 after dating for quite a while. They’ve also been open in the past about their struggles with infertility. On their YouTube channel, they shared, “While seriously preparing for a baby, we thought it would naturally happen if we just lived our lives as usual, working busily and diligently with YouTube and broadcasting. However, we tried to conceive naturally for six months but were unsuccessful.”
After going through that tough period and facing stress and arguments, they eventually decided to try IVF. “We also feel sorry that our joy might cause further disappointment to other couples struggling with infertility,” Im La-ra wrote. “As we know that feeling all too well, we will always support and pray that a miraculous moment will come to you someday!”
She added, “It feels like a dream that this day has come to us, and I still can’t believe it.”
