The message she got was straight-up disturbing. It said stuff like, “I will fully disclose my identity when we meet. I would like to meet about twice a month, respecting each other’s privacy,” and “Then I will provide financial support. I will give it to you first when we meet. Up to 50 million won can be paid in advance. If you are interested, please DM me for more details. I apologize if this was rude.” That last part didn’t exactly make it better—it shocked people even more.
Honestly, it’s no surprise she reacted the way she did. Just last year in April, Jeon Se-hyun opened up about how tough things have been for her in the industry. She said, “Many people have been asking me things like, ‘When is your next project?’ and ‘Why haven’t we seen you lately?’ but I have always wanted to work. I have never wanted to rest,” and added, “Since it’s a job where you have to be chosen, things don’t always go as planned.” You could really feel the frustration in her words.
She’s been grinding for a while too. Jeon Se-hyun made her debut back in 2005 with the film “Innocent Steps.” Since then, she’s been in dramas like “The Slave Hunters,” “Empress Ki,” “Mrs. Cop,” “Bravo, My Life,” and “Strong Girl Nam-soon,” plus movies like “Missing,” “The Beating Woman,” and “B Cut.”
