On the April 30th episode (291) of tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block 4,’ actress Go Youn jung made an appearance to chat about her role in the drama Resident Playbook.
Director Shin Won ho of Resident Playbook actually showed up in person to support her while she was filming the show!
Go Youn jung shared a funny story about how she first told someone she’d be on ‘You Quiz.’ “The first time I mentioned that I would be on ‘You Quiz on the Block’ was at my maternal grandmother’s birthday,” she said. “I thought it was a secret, so I only whispered it to my aunt. I moved my seat to sit next to my aunt and quietly told her, and she exclaimed, ‘You Quiz?!’ making me, not my grandmother, the center of attention.” Classic aunt move.
She also opened up about feeling super nervous. “I didn’t realize I was nervous, but I think it’s because I’m afraid of making mistakes,” she explained. “When filming dramas or movies, there’s an editing process, but award ceremonies or production presentations are live.”
Yoo Jae-suk, ever the quick one, reassured her by saying, “We have editing,” which made Go Youn jung smile.
To top it all off, her drama team sent over a coffee truck to cheer her on during the shoot. She even walked over to check it out herself. The truck had a cute three-line poem on it using her character’s name from Resident Playbook, O I Yeong. Curious, Go Youn jung asked, “Who wrote this?” — and that’s when Director Shin Won ho popped up.
He was right there at the shoot and shared honestly, “I’m particularly worried about her. She’s a really good and wonderful actress, but she’s less of a celebrity. She gets very nervous.”
