Kim Ji Won, Mistaking Park Sung-hoon for Kim Soo Hyun, Gets Caught in a Car Chase
In the 11th episode of the tvN Saturday drama “Queen of Tears” (scriptwriter Park Ji Eun, directors Jang Young Woo and Kim Hee Won), which aired on April 13th, Hong Hae In (Kim Ji Won) mistakes a person for her husband, Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun), who is suffering from a brain tumor, and gets caught in a car chase.
Hong Hae In’s Life-Threatening Diagnosis
At Yoon Eun Seong’s (Park Sung Hoon) press conference, Hong Hae In reveals that she has been given a terminal diagnosis and collapses after her world is turned upside down. Baek Hyun Woo rushes her to the hospital, and the news of her condition spreads, causing both families to rush to the hospital in shock.
Father and Son Reunite
Meanwhile, Hong Beom Ja (Kim Jung Nan) and Grace Go (Kim Joo Ryoung) find Hong Man Dae (Kim Gab Soo), who has been hidden by Mo Seul Hee (Lee Mi Sook), but are caught by Mo Seul Hee. Mo Seul Hee, with her bodyguards, kicks out Hong Beom Ja and Grace Go. Hong Beom Ja barely manages to see his son Hong Man-dae, who has regained consciousness but does not recognize Mo Sol-hee and shows signs of dementia.
Confession of Love
Regaining consciousness, Hong Hae In confesses her love to Baek Hyun Woo, saying, “I love you. I’ve loved you since the first time I saw you. I think I even knew that you wanted a divorce. So it’s okay. Don’t worry about it. If I die without saying this, you won’t even know my heart. I’m telling you now because I don’t know when I’m going to die.” Baek Hyun Woo comforts her, saying, “You’re not going to die.”
Mother’s Guilt and a Daughter’s Comfort
Hong Hae In’s mother, Kim Sun-hwa (Na Young-hee), blames herself, saying, “It’s all my fault. I made you resentful and stressed because I’m not a good mother. That’s why you got sick.” Hong Hae In consoles her, saying, “Are you a doctor? My illness has no known cause or prevention, and it’s not caused by stress. And I’m sure it wasn’t easy for me to have a daughter like me. So it’s not all your fault, Mom.”
Secretary’s Encouragement
Na Bi-seo (Yoon Bo-mi) hugs Hong Hae In and says, “You’ve changed a lot while you were lying down. You used to be an ambitious one-trillion-won woman, then a disgraced recluse, and now you’re the pure woman of this era. A secretary doesn’t have many places to go if she covers her face. So please come back, president. I’ll wait for you.”
Provocation and a Heated Confrontation
Hong Hae-in meets Yoon Eun Seong and provokes him, saying, “I know you’re in trouble. I’m not sorry. I called you here to tell you that if you mess with me, you’ll lose something bigger.” Yoon Eun Seong confronts Baek Hyun Woo, asking, “Why are you still with Hong Hae In? You have a terminal illness. Do you have feelings for her now? What do you think will happen if you keep this up? Come to me instead.” Baek Hyun Woo grabs him by the collar and says, “I’ve been putting up with a lot, so just leave.” Yoon Eun Seong tries to punch Baek Hyun Woo first but gets hit instead. Baek Hyun Woo tells Yoon Eun Seong, “Hong Hae In will always be by my side. So wake up and get out of here.”
The Chase for Hidden Funds
Yoon Eun Seong is obsessed with finding Hong Man-dae’s 900 billion won in hidden funds, and Baek Hyun Woo is determined to find it first. When Baek Hyun Woo gets on her nerves with his constant interference, Yoon Eun Seong hires someone to “take care of” him, saying, “Get rid of Baek Hyun Woo. I’ll get you the money to escape to Boracay.”
A Mistaken Identity and a Dangerous Chase
While deciphering how the hidden funds were laundered through paintings, Hong Hae In waits for Baek Hyun Woo to bring the car. When he arrives with an umbrella, she says, “Already?” and gets in the car with him. However, they are soon surprised by another car chasing them. The person in the car following Hong Hae In is the real Baek Hyun-woo. The person Hong Hae In got into the car with, mistaking them for Baek Hyun Woo, is actually Yoon Eun Seong.
