Their relationship came to light in late February after South Korean media outlet Dispatch reported they were dating, citing their meeting at a Prada fashion show in Milan on January 14 and alleged subsequent encounters. Both Karina and Lee Jae-wook’s agencies confirmed the rumors shortly after.

The reason for their breakup is cited as the emotional burden they faced due to various controversies, malicious comments, and even truck protests that arose following the public confirmation of their relationship.

SM Entertainment briefly confirmed the breakup, while C-JeS Entertainment stated that “the two have decided to remain as colleagues who support and cheer each other on.”
